Foundations of AI Strategy and Use Case Planning

This unit establishes the foundational frameworks and assessments needed to plan responsible, high-impact data and AI initiatives. Students learn to inventory and evaluate data, identify and prioritize use cases, map current-state processes and stakeholders, and create an initial implementation roadmap that accounts for legal, regulatory, and technical readiness.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze business drivers and market research to identify and prioritize operational and product-led AI use cases using the STAR Framework™
• Evaluate existing data inventory, reference architectures, and organizational data maturity to identify readiness gaps and required improvements for AI deployment
• Demonstrate the ability to produce a current-state process, organization, technology, and information (POTI) model and document user requirements and stakeholder segmentation for prioritized use cases
• Create an implementation roadmap that sequences quick-win and strategic-win use cases while addressing legal, regulatory, compliance, and early technical assessment considerations
