AI Integration and Optimization

This capstone unit guides students in integrating AI into project management workflows, selecting and configuring AI-enabled tools, and operationalizing measurement and governance. Students will apply pilot testing, adoption strategies, ethical and data-privacy safeguards, and continuous improvement practices to prepare for real-world implementation and ongoing professional development.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze the strengths, limitations, and appropriate use cases of AI-enabled project management tools (e.g., OnePlan, Smartsheet, Trello with Butler, Wrike, Zoho Zia) and recommend tool selections aligned to project requirements and data quality considerations
• Apply AI-driven strategies and automations to improve productivity, optimize meetings and collaboration, organize team knowledge, and incorporate AI into risk management workflows
• Evaluate ethical, privacy, and data-quality risks associated with AI adoption and develop a mitigation plan that includes governance policies, pilot testing protocols, and team training
• Demonstrate a continuous improvement and measurement plan by defining success metrics, conducting pilot tests, measuring AI impact regularly, iterating on implementations, and producing a roadmap to sustain and adapt AI solutions over time
