Applying AI in Real Workflows

This capstone unit builds on earlier fundamentals to focus on deploying AI prompts and tools in real-world workflows, emphasizing automation, chatbots, plugins, cost-efficiency, and cybersecurity. Learners will synthesize best practices, evaluate risks and limitations, and create implementation and career-resilience plans for continued adaptation to AI evolution.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze real-world workflows to identify and prioritize at least three opportunities where AI prompts, automation, or chatbots can increase operational efficiency, including estimated benefits and constraints
• Apply prompt engineering techniques and tool integrations to develop and test a customized chatbot or automated content pipeline (e.g., social media or podcast repurposing), demonstrating measurable improvement against baseline metrics
• Evaluate AI model strengths, limitations, ethical issues, and cybersecurity risks by conducting a formal risk assessment and producing a mitigation plan that includes human-AI collaboration protocols and verification steps
• Design a 6- to 12-month implementation and professional development roadmap that documents cost-saving tools, plugin/custom-GPT strategies, governance practices, and ongoing learning resources to future-proof roles and maintain AI effectiveness
