Digital SAT Foundations

This unit introduces students to the layout, timing, and question types of the Digital SAT and establishes a structured approach to test preparation. Students will build foundational Reading/Writing and Math skills, create a personalized study plan, complete a full-length timed practice exam, and develop test‑day routines and academic integrity practices to prepare for deeper skill work in subsequent units.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze the structure, timing, question formats, and scoring of the Digital SAT (and how it compares to the ACT) by identifying each section, common item types, and implications for strategy and pacing.
• Apply time-management and planning strategies to produce a personalized prep schedule that sequences study topics, sets measurable goals, and allocates practice time across Reading/Writing and Math.
• Demonstrate foundational academic skills by accurately completing formative practice items in sentence completion/in-context vocabulary, passage-based reading and writing, linear equations, basic geometry, and central tendency (mean, median, mode) with proficiency as measured by classroom assessments.
• Evaluate test readiness and test-day preparedness by administering a full-length timed digital practice exam under realistic conditions, analyzing results to identify at least two priority areas for improvement, and producing a pre-exam checklist that includes academic integrity commitments and night-before strategies.
