LSAT Capstone: Strategy & Content

This capstone unit synthesizes advanced LSAT strategies, timed-practice skills, and targeted legal-content review to prepare students for test day and final practice. Students will master guessing and timing techniques, produce an LSAC-format writing sample, evaluate admissions myths, and review substantive law topics commonly tested on the LSAT.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze complex reading-comprehension and logical-argument passages to identify main claims, supporting evidence, and rhetorical structure with ≥80% accuracy on end-of-unit assessments
• Apply timed test-taking strategies—including educated guessing, section completion tactics, and pacing—to complete full-length practice sections under simulated conditions and achieve a section completion rate of ≥90%
• Demonstrate working knowledge of substantive legal topic areas (intellectual property, personal injury/insurance defense, real estate, tax, trusts and estates/probate, and international law) by answering scenario-based questions with ≥75% accuracy
• Evaluate LSAC policies, common LSAT/ admissions myths, and retake considerations, and compose an LSAC-format writing sample that meets instructor rubric standards of competency
