Professional Presence and CV Development

Building on foundational career-readiness skills, this unit develops professional presence through self-assessment, confidence-building, CV design, and interview preparation. Students learn to create targeted, keyword-optimized CVs, craft effective introductions and submission strategies, and practice interview responses and body language to improve hiring outcomes.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze personal work attitudes, strengths, and career goals using self-assessment tools and detailed worksheets to produce a prioritized professional development plan.
• Apply CV construction and marketing techniques to create a tailored, keyword-optimized CV in appropriate formats (including reverse-chronological) and a targeted submission strategy for specific employers.
• Demonstrate interview readiness by composing and rehearsing structured responses to general, behavioral, hypothetical, and employer-focused questions while maintaining effective body language and composure in mock interviews.
• Evaluate job-search channels, application methods, and supporting materials (introductions, cover messages, and selected experience) to decide where and how to submit materials for optimal fit and response rates.
