Windows 11 System and Productivity

This unit develops practical Windows 11 skills for configuring system settings, managing users, files, devices, and basic network shares, and using built-in productivity and accessibility tools. Students will troubleshoot common problems, apply security and maintenance practices, and create or edit digital content to support collaboration and everyday tasks.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze and adjust Windows 11 system and accessibility settings (power, updates, taskbar, desktop layout) to optimize performance and personalize the user experience
• Apply file and device management procedures to create, save, locate, transfer, and share files and folders using local storage, external drives, and private networks, and configure shared printers and scanners
• Demonstrate user account management and basic security practices by adding or changing accounts, switching users, avoiding/removing malware, using troubleshooters, and recovering or understanding deleted files behavior
• Evaluate and use built-in productivity and collaboration tools (voice typing, Clipchamp, Paint, Edge, online meeting features, Copilot, Get Help/Microsoft Community) to create, edit, summarize, and share digital content
