Application Integration and Data Handling

This capstone unit synthesizes front-end, back-end, and mobile fundamentals to build integrated, data-driven applications. Students will apply web UI techniques, programming constructs, data processing, and basic mobile integration while testing and debugging complete programs.
Learning Objectives
- Apply HTML, Bootstrap, and JavaScript DOM techniques to construct responsive, accessible user interfaces that include dynamic element creation, event handling (dragging, radio buttons, drop-downs), and clear code comments for maintainability.
- Demonstrate proficiency with programming constructs by implementing constants, multidimensional arrays, functions/methods (including anonymous functions), proper scope and return/passing of values, and basic object-oriented concepts such as inheritance for modular code design.
- Analyze and manipulate data by accessing datasets and web/NoSQL sources, handling missing or heterogeneous data, filtering and transforming data sets, and selecting appropriate data types and array access strategies for application use.
- Evaluate and integrate application components across platforms by using Android Studio fundamentals, adapting to device sizes, passing data between components and routes, running and debugging sample programs, and preparing code for deployment and testing.
