Advanced Grant Presentations & Global Funding

This capstone unit synthesizes presentation, proposal refinement, and international funding strategies using AI-assisted tools while emphasizing ethical human oversight. Students will refine slide decks, handouts, headlines, budgets, and evaluation plans, practice professional pitching and follow-up, and adapt proposals for funders in the UK, Canada, Australia, and global contexts.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze sample grant narratives and AI-generated content to identify embellished storytelling, unrealistic budgets, insufficient evaluation plans, inappropriate jargon, and ethical concerns related to AI use
• Apply AI-enabled authoring and design tools to produce polished presentation materials (slides, headlines, handouts, and visual storytelling) that maintain a positive tone and appropriate human oversight
• Evaluate international funding opportunities and adapt proposal components (goals, objectives, budgets, evaluation metrics, and follow-up strategies) to meet funder-specific requirements and cultural expectations for the UK, Canada, Australia, and global funders
• Demonstrate professional presentation and follow-up skills by delivering a mock grant pitch with a complete slide deck, anticipated Q&A responses, expressions of gratitude, and a documented post-presentation follow-up plan
