AI Integration in Project Management

This unit explores practical integration of AI into project management processes, tools, and methodologies — from prompt engineering and methodology adaptation (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) to automating scheduling, reporting, resource management, and translation. Students evaluate ROI, measure AI performance, and apply ethical, data quality, and security best practices to prepare for full implementation in Unit 4.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze AI-enhanced Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid workflows and recommend specific methodology adaptations for a given project case study
• Apply prompt engineering and configure at least two AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Project AI features, Monday.com automations) to automate scheduling, task management, and reporting for a sample project
• Evaluate AI solutions for resource management, risk forecasting, and translation by calculating projected ROI and producing a cost-benefit summary for a defined project scenario
• Demonstrate ethical, data quality, and data security best practices by conducting an integration audit and producing an implementation plan with measurable performance and governance metrics
