AI Practitioner Exam Capstone

This capstone unit prepares students for the AWS Certified AI Practitioner exam through targeted review, practice questions, and exam-taking strategies. Students will learn inference optimization techniques for large language models, perform model evaluations using Amazon Bedrock, and assess the benefits and risks of generative AI to inform mitigation and governance.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze computational and resource trade-offs (latency, throughput, memory, cost, accuracy) when applying inference optimizations—such as quantization, distillation, and batching—to large language models
• Apply Amazon Bedrock evaluation workflows to design and execute model evaluations, collect quantitative and qualitative metrics, and compare model variants for deployment decisions
• Demonstrate exam readiness by completing timed practice assessments, employing exam essentials strategies to identify knowledge gaps, and creating a targeted study plan for remediation
• Evaluate the ethical, legal, and societal implications of generative AI systems, articulate potential harms and benefits, and propose practical mitigation and governance strategies
