Best Practices, Ethics, and Resources

This capstone unit synthesizes dos and don’ts, lessons learned, interviewee and contributor perspectives, and resource reviews to produce actionable guidance for nonprofits adopting AI. Students will consolidate ethical considerations, best practices, and vetted resources into implementation-ready plans and communications.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze patterns across the dos and don’ts and lessons learned to identify and justify at least five best-practice guidelines for nonprofit AI initiatives
• Evaluate interviewee and contributor perspectives to prioritize ethical, legal, and stakeholder considerations when planning an AI project for a nonprofit
• Apply reviewed resources to produce an annotated resource list and a step-by-step implementation checklist tailored to a specific nonprofit use case
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate an AI adoption plan by producing a concise report that integrates best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and recommended resources
