Core LSAT Reasoning Skills

This unit develops foundational LSAT skills in logical reasoning, reading comprehension, argument evaluation, and test-taking strategy. Students practice timed passage work, strengthen/weaken and assumption questions, a practice essay, and scoring to prepare for advanced application in subsequent units.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze logical arguments and passages by identifying conclusions, premises, hidden assumptions, and points of agreement or disagreement in practice items
• Apply systematic strategies and pacing techniques to complete reading comprehension and logical reasoning sets under timed conditions while mapping passage structure
• Demonstrate the ability to select evidence-based answer choices that strengthen, support, weaken, or make valid inferences from arguments across a variety of question types
• Evaluate practice essays and LSAT section performance using scoring rubrics and diagnostics to create targeted study and test-day preparedness plans
