Crafting Persuasive Business Messages

This unit develops advanced practical skills for composing, structuring, and polishing business communications using AI-assisted workflows. Students will learn to craft audience-centered messages, apply storytelling and visual design, and ensure legal and factual integrity in one-page bios, pitches, emails, and short documents.

• Analyze target audiences and reader questions to tailor message purpose, structure, and appropriate use of Cc/Bcc in professional communications
• Apply the four pillars of storytelling, sequencing strategies, and visual design principles to produce one-page bios, elevator pitches, tip sheets, and concise message drafts
• Demonstrate AI-assisted drafting, research, and fact-checking workflows while complying with copyright and attribution requirements
• Evaluate tone, keyword use, openings/closings, and formatting for consistency and professionalism and revise drafts to produce polished, action-oriented communications
