Creative Play and AI Collaboration

This capstone unit integrates play-based creative practices—doodling, improvisation, story thinking, and artist’s books—with iterative exercises and generative AI partnerships to produce tangible prototypes and communicative narratives. Students synthesize prior learning to prototype, document, and reflect on AI-assisted creative workflows in preparation for applied entrepreneurial projects.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze creative challenges and apply story-thinking and improvisational techniques to generate at least three distinct concept directions for a business or entrepreneurial offering
• Apply generative AI tools as collaborative partners in ideation and prototyping, documenting prompts, versions, and rationale across at least two iterative project cycles
• Demonstrate play-based visual methods (doodling, sketching, serious play) by constructing an artist’s book or analogous prototype that communicates a cohesive narrative or brand concept
• Evaluate the effectiveness and ethical implications of AI-assisted and playful methodologies by producing a reflective critique with a prioritized action plan for refining future entrepreneurial design work
