Ethical AI and Strategic Foresight

This unit synthesizes leadership, ethics, law, and technological foresight to prepare learners to guide responsible AI and data-driven initiatives. Students will use decision tools and case studies to design human-centered governance, assess regulatory and societal risks (privacy, deepfakes, climate, SDGs), and develop adaptive, ethical acceleration strategies for organizations.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze ethical, legal, and societal implications of deploying AI and large-scale data systems using case studies on privacy, deepfakes, digital twins, and regulatory responses
• Apply decision-making tools (e.g., Now-Next continuum, Questions-Insights-Foresights, reflective checklists) to create adaptive, human-centered governance plans that balance specialization, generalization, and organizational priorities such as SDGs and climate action
• Demonstrate the ability to design and justify a practical leader-driven implementation plan that integrates data governance, trust-building measures, and compliance strategies to mitigate risks like bias, misinformation, and cascading failures
• Evaluate organizational strategies and propose measurable improvements using foresight techniques and metrics to ensure ethical acceleration, responsible innovation, and alignment with legal and regulatory environments
