Full-Stack JavaScript Foundations

This unit expands core JavaScript knowledge into practical front-end frameworks, modern tooling, and server-side fundamentals. Students will work with React, Vue, and Svelte concepts, module and project configuration, Node.js core APIs, Express routing, and basic MongoDB operations to prepare for building integrated full‑stack applications.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze asynchronous JavaScript behavior by explaining the event loop, creating and handling Promises, and debugging asynchronous code in Chrome
• Apply module and tooling workflows by exporting/importing modules, initializing projects with Vite, managing dependencies with npm, and configuring a reproducible development environment
• Demonstrate front-end framework skills by building and converting components in React, Vue, and Svelte, including using JSX/templates, data binding, forms, event modifiers, and component context
• Implement server-side JavaScript fundamentals by using Node.js core features (streams, buffers, file I/O), creating web servers and Express routes, performing basic MongoDB operations, and documenting/handling errors and listener limits
