Human-Centered GenAI Workplaces

This unit synthesizes prior technical and ethical foundations to prepare learners to lead human-centered GenAI adoption in organizations. Students explore GenAI’s impact on productivity and well-being, apply responsible AI principles to eliminate bias, and develop strategic workforce and HR plans to enable inclusive, sustainable change.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze the complex effects of generative AI on workplace productivity, inclusion, and employee well-being using case scenarios and quantitative or qualitative metrics
• Apply responsible and ethical AI principles to design human-centered interventions that identify, mitigate, and monitor bias, producing a written mitigation plan or checklist
• Evaluate organizational structures, HR processes, and workforce skill gaps to recommend concrete policy, role, and learning pathway changes that enable human-first GenAI adoption
• Demonstrate creation of a strategic GenAI integration roadmap that specifies timelines, roles, KPIs for productivity and well-being, and governance mechanisms for ongoing bias monitoring
