Interactive Flutter UI and State

This unit advances students’ Flutter skills by focusing on interactive user interfaces, state management, navigation, and basic animations. Learners will combine layout widgets, input controls, routing, and tooling to build responsive, interactive apps and prepare for deeper application architecture and deployment topics in the final unit.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze Flutter layout and input patterns to design responsive interfaces using Expanded, Dropdown, Radio, and TextField widgets while accounting for zero-based index adjustments
• Apply state management and routing techniques to pass data between screens (including passing data back), implement named routes, and correctly use setState to update UI
• Demonstrate animation and interaction capabilities by creating size and color animations, curve-based motion, and drag-and-drop behaviors in Flutter applications
• Evaluate development workflows and local professional resources by using Android Studio to run sample programs, determining device metrics, and researching nearby companies’ technologies and community user groups
