Productivity and Cybersecurity Practices

This unit covers effective use of modern productivity tools (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, collaboration platforms, and automation) and foundational cybersecurity practices to protect data and systems. It builds on prior units’ technical and generative AI skills and prepares students to integrate secure workflows into real-world projects and capstone experiences.

• Analyze common productivity tool features and workflows to select appropriate applications and templates for specific project requirements
• Apply advanced productivity techniques (collaboration, version control, templates, formulas, and basic automation) to create, manage, and deliver professional digital artifacts
• Demonstrate secure configuration and personal cyber hygiene practices, including strong authentication, software updates, backups, and recognition of social engineering and phishing attacks
• Evaluate cybersecurity risks in productivity workflows and implement mitigation strategies such as access controls, data classification, encryption, and incident response steps
