Prompt Engineering Capstone and Careers

This unit synthesizes advanced prompt engineering concepts by evaluating prominent generative AI systems (DeepFaceLab, DeepArt Effects, AIVA, WaveNet, ImageNet, VQ-VAE), their ethical implications, accessibility concerns, and future trajectories. Students will apply advanced prompting techniques, assess strengths and limitations, and prepare career-ready artifacts, professional development plans, and community engagement strategies.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze ethical, accessibility, and legal implications of generative AI tools (DeepFaceLab, DeepArt Effects, AIVA, WaveNet, ImageNet, VQ-VAE) and propose at least three concrete mitigation strategies for identified risks
• Evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, and real-world applications of the listed AI systems by producing comparative assessments for at least four use cases
• Apply advanced prompt engineering techniques to design, test, and iterate prompts for at least three different AI systems from the unit, documenting measurable performance or output improvements
• Demonstrate career and professional readiness by assembling a prompt engineering portfolio with a minimum of three project artifacts, a 12-month skills development plan, and evidence of engagement with a global prompt engineering community
