This unit examines the convergence of quantum AI, subsystem integration, and their disruptive effects on business, society, and the environment. Students explore ethical safeguards, governance, and sustainable strategies to prepare organizations and stakeholders for responsible AI adoption and future-facing business models.

• Analyze emerging quantum AI and AI-subsystem concepts and their potential impacts on business models, workforce roles, and environmental systems.
• Evaluate ethical, legal, and societal implications of incorporating AI subsystems into organizations and design mitigation strategies and protections (technical, policy, and governance) to address risks.
• Apply principles of sustainable and post-carbon economics to recommend business innovations and operational practices (for example, ecobots and bright-green strategies) that enhance long-term resilience and stakeholder value.
