Collaborative Productivity and Communication

This unit deepens students’ ability to collaborate and produce content across cloud productivity apps, covering advanced document, spreadsheet, and presentation features as well as shared calendars, contacts, chat, groups, and video meeting tools. It builds on foundational keyboarding and basic word processing skills and prepares students to manage permissions, mobile workflows, and tool selection for secure, effective collaboration.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze collaboration workflows and communication scenarios to determine the appropriate combination of shared files, calendars, chat, groups, and video meeting features for a given task
• Apply advanced productivity features to create and modify documents, spreadsheets, and presentations by inserting graphics and footnotes, formatting lists and columns, generating charts and pivot tables, and importing or subscribing to calendar events
• Demonstrate effective collaborative practices by managing contacts and verification methods, subscribing to and sharing calendars, participating in chat rooms and groups, configuring video meeting settings, and using bots and mobile apps to maintain continuity across devices
• Evaluate privacy, security, and accessibility implications of sharing and communications tools and configure permissions and verification settings to support safe, appropriate collaboration
