Enterprise Automation and Orchestration

This unit advances the new automation mindset into enterprise-scale thinking by examining pillars of automation, operation roles (BigOps), orchestration architectures, input and execution engine capabilities, and real-world use cases. Students will analyze technical and organizational requirements for scalable, end-to-end automation and prepare design recommendations that bridge concept to implementation in subsequent study.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze the pillars of enterprise automation and map how each pillar impacts organizational functions, roles (including BigOps), and governance
• Apply orchestration and execution engine concepts to design an end-to-end automation flow that incorporates input method capabilities and handles common failure points
• Demonstrate understanding of automation by developing case-study solutions for at least two use cases (incident management, lead management, fine payment reporting, or food delivery/loyalty) and documenting expected outcomes and metrics
• Evaluate technical capabilities and operational roles required for scalable automation and recommend an implementation approach that addresses orchestration, monitoring, and continuous improvement
