This unit focuses on preparing learners for successful job interviews and competitive applications by developing targeted responses, professional presence, and effective application documents. It builds on foundational self-assessment skills and prepares students for advanced selection processes in subsequent units, including online screening and assessment simulations.

• Analyze common interview question types (behavioral, leading, closed, numerical, and technology-enabled) and prepare tailored, structured responses using appropriate frameworks such as STAR.
• Apply résumé and CV best practices by constructing or revising a functional-format CV that incorporates job-specific keywords, clear sections for education and training, and inclusive elements for diverse applicants.
• Demonstrate professional interview presence and communication skills by practicing confident body language, eye contact, dressing for success, and composing timely, effective follow-up letters.
• Evaluate personal fit with prospective employers and readiness for screening tools by researching organizations, simulating online/hi-tech interviews and psychometric tests, and identifying targeted improvement actions.
