This unit guides students through finalizing, exporting, publishing, and promoting completed gameplay videos for YouTube. Students will record and integrate voiceovers, export projects from HitFilm (and share from iMovie/Filmora), set up and manage a YouTube channel, and use titles, thumbnails, and analytics to optimize reach and engagement.
Learning Objectives
- Demonstrate recording, editing, and integrating a clear, synchronized voiceover into gameplay footage and a HitFilm project using noise reduction and level-matching techniques
- Apply YouTube-optimized export and upload settings in HitFilm and when sharing from iMovie or Filmora, including correct format, resolution, bitrate, and metadata
- Demonstrate creating and managing a YouTube presence by obtaining a Google account, uploading videos, and configuring titles, thumbnails, privacy settings, tags, and YouTube Studio features
- Analyze YouTube Studio performance data and evaluate title/thumbnail tests and content strategies to recommend improvements that increase views and audience engagement
