This unit examines how emerging computing paradigms—especially artificial intelligence and quantum technologies—reshape business decision-making, operations, and revenue opportunities while introducing governance, ethical, and reliability challenges. Students investigate real-world applications (e.g., precision agriculture, intelligent transportation), assess risks and constraints (NISQ/post‑NISQ, reliability, information‑energy tradeoffs, malware), and prepare strategies for bias mitigation and commercial adoption that will feed into the capstone planning in Unit 4.
