Facilitation and Training Evaluation

This unit focuses on delivering effective talent development experiences and measuring their impact. Students practice facilitation skills for classroom, virtual, and on‑the‑job settings, create supporting media, manage learner behaviors, and apply evaluation frameworks to ensure learning transfer and professional growth.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze adult learning theories and the ATD Talent Development Capability Model to adapt facilitation strategies for classroom, virtual, and on‑the‑job training
• Apply evidence‑based facilitation techniques—including participant preparation, behavior management, supportive learning environments, and effective visuals/video—to deliver engaging instructor‑led and virtual sessions
• Demonstrate competency in measuring training effectiveness by applying Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels and basic ROI methods to assess learning, behavior change, and organizational impact
• Design a complete training module that includes learning objectives, assessments, follow‑up/accountability plans, and a post‑training reinforcement prescription to promote transfer and continuous improvement
