Operationalizing AI Initiatives and Culture

This unit builds on foundational AI concepts to guide students through organizing, managing, and scaling AI initiatives within business contexts. Students will focus on project planning, data infrastructure and governance, risk and transparency, and cultivating an AI-friendly organizational culture to increase actionability and adoption.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze organizational capabilities, adoption risks, and actionable inputs to prioritize AI projects and select appropriate development approaches, including decentralized data management options
• Apply project planning and management system components to design a measurable implementation plan (roles, milestones, metrics, and timelines) that includes data archiving and deletion procedures
• Evaluate data infrastructure and governance strategies—covering pipelines, archiving, deletion, transparency, and experimentation frameworks—to recommend scalable, secure, and actionable solutions
• Demonstrate methods for leading change and cultivating an AI-friendly culture by implementing transparency practices, experimentation cycles, decision disaggregation techniques, and stakeholder engagement strategies
